I feel like I’ve said it so many times on this blog, but I’m a big believer in:
“the more you do, the more you get done.”
It may sound really stupid to say – like duh – but what I mean is the difference between the days you get nothing done and the days you get everything done. In my life, there is rarely an in between.
This morning I woke up (Or should I say I was woken up by my baby!) and made breakfast, got dressed, fed, changed and dressed my little man, did three loads of washing, the ironing, went to Mothers Group, got home and did another load of washing, washed the floors, made a Quiche with my leftover food in the fridge, cleaned the bathrooms, prepped dinner, played with my little man in between, and wrote this post.
It sure beats those days when I wake up and migrate to the couch and barely move from there, feeling guilty that I’m not doing more but not guilty enough to actually do it.
What I’m saying is if you start doing something, more than likely you will feel so happy with yourself and so high on the endorphins that you will continue wanting to check the tasks off the list and have the energy to keep going. That’s one theory.
The other theory that I thought of today, is how you start your day.
See, last weekend not much got done. I woke up, and like most Easters, started my day with some chocolate!
Today I woke up and had one of my favourite things to drink. It’s packed full of energy and rich in iron, which we all need more of in my opinion!
2 handfuls of spinach leaves
Ok so it sounds gross, but it’s so not. You can’t even taste the spinach. Starting your day with this energy boost will keep you going all day. Just saying. Maybe you could try one and see if it makes a difference to your energy levels. It has made the world of difference to mine today… Enjoy!
How do you start each day to get the most out of your day?
