I had one of those weekends where I really think I could write a book about the people in my life, and it got me thinking about this quote.
This week I will write about ‘How To: Formally Complain’. I think it’s important in every PA/EA role that you have good relationships with people and you provide your compliments and appreciation to the superiors of the stakeholders you deal with when praise is due. But it is also important to know the do’s and don’ts when you need to complain, as you are representing yourself, your Manager and your Company.
This quote also reminds me of the image I project to others, whether I’m going through the check out at the supermarket, or dealing with my Mother In Law. I had a conversation with my Mum this weekend, about young women remembering every negative thing that has ever been said to them, and it damaging them emotionally. We never remember the nice things that have been said and done. We should always be acting like someone is going to write a book about us, and we don’t want to be the bad guy!
