Last year I went all out for Christmas gift giving wise. I have a big family, and my husband has a big extended family, and my enthusiasm for the festive season cost us a lot of money! So this year I cut back completely (unless you include the thermomix I bought so I could cut back!) and decided to make most of the gifts for all extended family and friends – from my kitchen to yours style.
One of my favourite blogs at the moment is the Tart Tart, and I picked up this recipe from there. It worked beautifully!
Two punnets of cherry tomatoes should do three small jars of gifts. All you will need is the tomatoes, four cloves of garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper.
Cut the tomatoes in half, and coat in olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Place the tomatoes and garlic on a baking tray and cook on 150 degrees celsius for about two hours.
Voila! Once they are cooled they can be put into jars. Such a beautiful gift! I’m currently searching “My Kitchen To Yours” printables to make them pretty!
